Mimi Color Application - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Mimi Color is a paint-by-numbers mobile application developed and operated by Mimi Panda. References to "we", "our", or "us" in this policy refer to Mimi Panda. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Mimi Color, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using Mimi Color, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Guest use

Mimi Color can be used without an account. In this case, all coloring progress and preferences are stored locally on your device only.

Account registration

You may optionally create a Mimi Panda account to save your progress to our servers and access it across multiple devices. When you register, we collect:

• Email address — used to identify your account and send account-related communications (e.g. password reset)
• Password — stored in hashed form; we never store your password in plain text
• OAuth profile data — if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider; we do not receive your password or payment details from them

We do not collect your phone number, home address, or any government identifier.

Sign-in with Google is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage and crash data (Firebase & Sentry)

We use the following third-party services to help us understand how the app is used and to detect and fix errors:

• Google Firebase — collects app usage events, session information, device type, operating system version, and general crash diagnostics. Firebase may assign a pseudonymous installation ID to your device. Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Sentry — collects crash reports and error logs, which may include device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace at the time of the crash. Sentry does not collect personally identifiable information. Privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy

Advertising data (Google AdMob — free users only)

Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve relevant ads:

• Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)
• IP address and approximate location
• Device type, OS version, and app information
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

AdMob may use this data to show personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization). Non-personalized ads will still be shown to free users who opt out.

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Apple Advertising, to limit personalized ads.

Users with an active Mimi Color subscription do not see ads, and AdMob is not active for those users.

API requests

When you browse the painting catalog, search for paintings, or load a painting, the app sends requests to the Mimi Panda API server. These requests include standard HTTP metadata such as your IP address and device user-agent string. We do not link this data to your identity.

2.3 Data Storage

Guest users (no account)

The following data is stored only on your device. Without an account, none of this data is transmitted to our servers:

• Your coloring progress per painting (which regions you have filled in)
• Titles and thumbnail URLs of recently opened paintings
• App preferences: sound effects on/off, vibration on/off, highlighted area style, coloring effect on/off
• Daily coloring time counter (resets at midnight)

This data remains on your device unless you choose to clear it via the "Clear Data" option in the Profile screen.

Registered users

If you create a Mimi Panda account, the following data is additionally stored on our servers so it can be synced across your devices:

• Your email address and hashed password (or OAuth provider reference)
• Coloring progress per painting
• App preferences

To delete your account and all associated server-side data, contact us at [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days.

3. Subscriptions

Mimi Color offers an optional paid subscription that removes all ads. Subscriptions are billed by Apple on the App Store or by Google on Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

The app checks subscription status through RevenueCat, which receives a pseudonymous app user ID and purchase information from Apple or Google. No payment card data is sent to Mimi Panda. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Operate and improve the Mimi Color app
• Authenticate your account and sync your progress across devices
• Send account-related emails (password reset, account confirmation)
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs (via Sentry)
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to prioritize new features (via Firebase)
• Serve painting content and catalog data from the Mimi Panda API
• Show relevant ads to free users via Google AdMob

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

Firebase retains event data according to Google's data retention settings, typically for 2 months (raw events) or longer for aggregated analytics.

Sentry retains crash reports for 90 days by default.

AdMob retains ad interaction data per Google's retention policies.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon receiving a deletion request, your email address and all associated progress data are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app.

6. Children's Privacy

Mimi Color is suitable for all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account registration, and no personally identifiable information is collected or stored by us.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

7. Third-Party Services

Mimi Color integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of analytics collection

You can also limit data collection by disabling analytics in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).

9. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect any data processed by Mimi Color. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device software up to date.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. How to Request Account Deletion

You can also delete the account in the app: open Profile and choose Delete account.

To request deletion of your Mimi Panda account and all associated data, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my account".

What will be deleted within 30 days of your request:

• Your email address and password (or OAuth account link)
• Your coloring progress for all paintings
• Your app preferences stored on our servers

What will not be deleted:

• Anonymous crash reports and analytics events collected by Firebase and Sentry — these cannot be linked back to your account and are retained per their standard policies (see Third-Party Services)
• Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics

You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
